Evelyn Cormier found love on 90 Day Fiance.
She married David Vázquez Zermeño on Season 5 of TLC series and the two are somehow still together.
Just look how happy the couple looks here:
But still. Cormier has made it clear through the years that her dream has not been to get hitched to a man she barely knows.
Instead, her dream has been to make it as a professional singer — and she just took a major step toward accomplishing this goal!
On Sunday night, March 17, Cormier auditioned for the new version of American Idol on ABC.
And she didn't merely hold her own. She blew the judges very far away, most notably Katy Perry.
"Literally one of my favorite voices I've ever heard in my life," Perry gushed after Cormier finished her song.
"You have a sound that's yours," judge Lionel Richie added. "I love the air. I don't know what you're doing, but whatever it is it's an absolutely amazing identity."
"I'm thrilled that we have you. [Your voice] is something that we want to showcase. It's something that we want to show off."
The 19-year-old's eyes started welled up with tears as she received the accolades from the judge's panel, even before they moved her on to the next round with a golden ticket.
“Evelyn, pick the right songs cause you are my favorite voice. Pick the right songs,” Perry offered as a piece of advice prior to delivering to Cormier the incredible news.
The aspiring artist revealed on Instagram back in December that she auditioned for American Idol — and has since been sharing updates leading up to last night.
According to her website, the New Hampshire native has an EP caltitleded Ghost, as well as a number of singles.
And now she has a golden ticket to boot!
David, meanwhile, joined Evelyn and her family on the trip to New York City from their hometown of Claremont, New Hampshire for her American Idol audition.
“This is your passion, one of your dreams, your music,” David said on air. “I’m sure you’re just gonna go [in] there and do what you do the best.”
